Job Summary
As an Inside Parts Sales Representative, you will be the driving force behind our sales initiatives, engaging with customers and providing them with exceptional service. Your role will involve gaining and utilizing your knowledge of heavy duty parts, service, maintenance in order to provide our customers with the best solutions. You will play a crucial part in building relationships, negotiating deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction while contributing to the overall success of our parts team.
What you’ll do
- Engage with customers via phone, email and in-person to provide information about products and services.
- Negotiate pricing, ensuring a win-win outcome for both the company and the customer.
- Manage inventory control and order fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies that enhance part sales performance.
- Assist in retail sales activities, including cashiering, stocking, and maintaining organized displays.
- Provide a positive self and company image to customers, vendors, and other employees. Maintain a neat and clean appearance, personally and professionally.
- Assist outside parts staff with monitoring and processing orders.
Basic qualifications
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Proficient in retail math for effective inventory management and cash handling.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Background in medium/heavy duty truck knowledge
- Basic computer skills and internet experience
- Professional personal appearance
- Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
- Will be required to wear dealership uniform
