What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Freighter View Assisted Living?
Freighter View Assisted Living has a part-time Cook position available. Morning and afternoon shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Duties include:
- Handling and preparing food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
- Preparing nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as prescribed by the resident’s physician.
- Following menus and special diet instructions.
- Performing a variety of food service functions in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas, facilities and equipment.
- Serving residents and delivering food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas as instructed by supervisor
