FreightCo, LLC of Fort Wayne, IN has an available position of Freight Broker/Carrier Representative. This position provides a solid base salary with additional earning potential from bonus/commission.
Responsibilities
- Solicit/Source freight carriers, develop carrier network to meet operational and customer needs.
- Continuous development of carrier group specific to current and potential operational needs.
- Provide carrier management specific to on-time pick ups and deliveries.
- Work directly and indirectly with customer service and sales to achieve full utilization of carrier network.
- Onboard and maintain assigned carriers profile in transportation management system, specific to carrier qualifications, and operational changes.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Able work in a fast paced/competitive industry.
- High level organizational and follow up skills.
- Success driven, ability to participate in organizational development.
- Strong negotiating and influencing abilities.
- Sales focused - "Winning" attitude".
- Technology proficient in standard Microsoft office application, and the aptitude to work with industry specific applications and management systems.
- Transportations experience, or similar sales related experience desired. Entry level, recent college graduates will be giving strong consideration.
