Job Overview 


The Supply Chain Project Manager – Distribution & Reconditioning Services is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that optimize distribution operations and reconditioning across the supply chain network.


This role drives operational excellence, cost efficiency, service performance, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer requirements.


This role will support distribution integration and optimization initiatives for multiple warehouses.


The position partners closely with Operations and Commercial to design, implement, and sustain scalable distribution and reconditioning solutions.


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)


Project Leadership & Execution



  • Lead end-to-end supply chain projects related to distribution network optimization, warehouse operations, and reconditioning service enhancements.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication plans.

  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within cost targets.


Reconditioning Services 



  • Design and optimize reconditioning service offerings.

  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Implement tracking systems to monitor reconditioning scrap rates, and turnaround times.

  • Manage suppliers to performance metrics.


 Continuous Improvement



  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive waste reduction and process stability.

  • Develop KPIs and dashboards for distribution and reconditioning performance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

  • Identify cost savings opportunities across distribution and reconditioning operations.


Stakeholder Management



  • Serve as primary liaison between operations, commercial teams, and external partners.

  • Present project updates and performance metrics to leadership.

  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and change management initiatives.

  • Support training and onboarding for new systems and processes.


 Qualifications:


Education



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • Project Management Professional certification preferred.


Experience



  • 5–10 years of experience in project management, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or operations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.

  • Experience in rail reconditioning operations preferred.


Technical Skills



  • Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), and data analytics tools.

  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization platforms (Power BI).

  • Understanding of warehouse automation and material handling systems.

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (certification a plus).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Change management and continuous improvement mindset.


Work Environment & Travel



  • Primarily office-based with supplier visits and field support as needed, approximately 10-20% travel.

  • Fast-paced, operationally focused environment.

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
