Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Drayage Sales and Operations role based in Chattanooga, TN. The position is responsible for developing and growing drayage business by prospecting new customers, managing existing accounts, and preparing competitive quotes and proposals. The role includes coordinating daily drayage operations, scheduling pickups and deliveries, monitoring container status, and resolving service issues with carriers, ports, and customers. The individual will track shipments, update internal systems, and ensure accurate documentation and billing. Collaboration with internal teams to improve service, streamline processes, and support customer-specific requirements is expected.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage customer expectations professionally.
- Proven Sales and Sales Management capabilities, including prospecting, pipeline management, and achieving revenue or margin targets.
- Experience in Training team members or partners on drayage processes, systems, and service standards.
- Background in drayage, intermodal, or trucking operations, including familiarity with ports, rail ramps, and container lifecycle.
- Ability to work on-site in Chattanooga, TN, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), standard office software, and basic data analysis or reporting.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Relevant experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
