Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Non-Commercial Driver's License Driver to operate various types of vehicles for transportation, delivery, and logistical support. The ideal candidate will possess a valid non-commercial driver’s license and have experience driving different vehicle types, including box trucks. This role requires safe driving practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various loading and unloading tasks. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities that support our operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, or other non-commercial vehicles according to traffic laws and company policies
- Transport freight and cargo efficiently between designated locations while maintaining safety standards
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or manual lifting techniques
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, or team members regarding schedules or issues during transit
- Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including moving inventory or supplies within the facility
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle handling
Qualifications
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, delivery operations, or similar roles preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicles and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate vehicles and handle different types of commercial vehicles such as box trucks or flatbeds
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus
- Strong communication skills for coordinating routes and reporting issues effectively
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform routine vehicle inspections
- Prior experience with route driving, is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and schedules
- Must be able to pass drug test
