What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Box Unloader (600-900 Weekly) Northlake, Tx position at Freight Breakers?
We are looking for motivated, hardworking unloaders to join our small warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, works well with a team, and can handle a fast-paced yet straightforward unloading process.
What You'll Do:
- Unload 8 -12 trucks per day with a small team
- Pick up boxes weighing lbs from trailer floors
- Place boxes onto pallets, then use a pallet jack to move full pallets aside
- Average 2 - 3 hours per trailer, usually with 2 people unloading
- Perform general dock work, cleaning, and pallet wrapping during downtime
Pay Structure:
- Paid per trailer unloaded - typically $90 - $200 per trailer (depending on load size)
- Average weekly earnings: $600 - $900
- Hourly downtime pay: $16.36/hour (for cleaning/wrapping between trucks)
Requirements:
- Prior experience in physically demanding jobs
- Able to safely lift and move lbs repeatedly
- Steel toe or composite toe shoes
- Reliable transportation & consistent attendance
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Occasional overtime as needed
