Tire Handling Warehouse Associate in Lincolnton, 3rd Shift
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tire Handling Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. We both load and unload tires by hand in and out of trailers. Specifically, when unloading, tires are hand laced at their point of origin; we are unlacing them by grabbing 1 tire at a time and placing them onto a metal rack. This is done in a quick but organized and safe way. When loading, we are lacing tires by picking them up from racks and placing them on the trailer floor. They are laced from floor to the trailer roof "high and tight". Loading a trailer completely is usually completed within 2 hours; this is true for unloading as well.
Pay Structure:
- -Production- Paid per trailer completed (the more you complete, the more you make)
- - Avg weekly: $500.00 to $800.00 after taxes (When fully trained and working at standard)
- - OT as requested
- - Wednesday-Friday (6:00 am- 6:30 pm) 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and manage inventory of tires, ensuring accurate counting, stacking, and organizing.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Assist in inventory management activities, verifying quantities/SKUs and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete trailers promptly and accurately.
- Report any safety concerns, defects, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
- Must be able to work at a fast and steady pace safely.
- Pallet Jacks are used for the first 2 months minimum until you can reach your goal each day, then you may be considered to use a forklift if available.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in warehouse or logistics operations, particularly in tire handling, is preferred.
- Good and consistent attendance.
- Adherence to the dress code (Safety vest and Steel toes)
- Ability to lift 5lbs to 90lbs unassisted.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat and stoop safely throughout the shift as necessary.
- Must have Steel-toed shoes on at all times
- Must have valid identification (ID and/or Driver's License and SS Card)
- Must pass drug screen/background check
- Reliable Transportation.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse is not climate controlled. (Hot in the summer/Cold in the winter)
- Only walk within the designated areas we there are forklifts in the warehouse.
- Follow all safety guidelines and restrictions
