Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management (Hands-On)

• End-to-End Execution: Personally manage and oversee all phases of complex project cargo shipments, including OOG, heavy lift, and breakbulk, ensuring compliance with all international and domestic regulations.
• Multimodal Expertise: Actively handle the operations for Air and Ocean Import/Export shipments, including documentation, customs coordination, carrier procurement, and rate negotiation.
• Trucking & Inland Logistics: Coordinate and manage specialized inland trucking and haulage requirements for over-dimensional and overweight cargo, including route surveys and permit acquisition.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential logistical challenges, and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays and costs.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for complex cargo clients, providing timely updates, transparent communication, and expert consultation.

Team Leadership & Strategy

• Team Supervision: Directly manage and mentor a small team of operations specialists, fostering a culture of high performance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement best practices and standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for handling complex and project-based shipments to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed project status reports, operational summaries, and financial analysis for management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding operations, with a significant focus on Project Cargo, OOG, or complex multimodal logistics.
• Operational Fluency: Proven hands-on experience managing and executing Air, Ocean (FCL, LCL, Breakbulk), and complex Road Freight (heavy haul, special equipment).
• Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory, mentoring, or team lead role is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with freight forwarding software, customs procedures, and Incoterms
