Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Painter Helper to join our auto body shop team. In this role, you will assist the painter with vehicle preparation, masking, sanding, mixing paint, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the painter with prepping vehicles for paint.
- Sand, mask, tape, and clean vehicle surfaces before painting.
- Mix paints and materials according to specifications.
- Help maintain paint booth cleanliness and organization.
- Move vehicles and parts as needed throughout the shop.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with minor disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous auto body or paint shop experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
- Basic knowledge of automotive refinishing is a plus.
