Analytical Scientist

We are seeking a full-time Analytical Scientist to work in our laboratories in Branford, Connecticut. This role is suited for individuals with a strong educational foundation in chemistry or a related field who are interested in pursuing a career as a pharmaceutical research and development scientist. Candidates will receive on-the-job training to build technical proficiency with FreeThink’s instrumentation and stability platforms. Ideal candidates will have hands-on laboratory experience with HPLC, including internships involving instrument operation and troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

·         Safely and effectively perform analytical measurements including HPLC/UPLC, GC, KF, and dissolution testing

·         Ensure all work performed complies with company standard operating procedures and is well-documented

·         Maintain and enhance technical proficiency through structured internal training and method execution

·         Operate and troubleshoot analytical instruments in accordance with company standard operating procedures

REQUIREMENTS

·         BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific field

·         Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical laboratories including instrument operation and troubleshooting

·         Skilled with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and comfortable learning new software applications

·         Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis for any employer without the need for sponsorship

COMPENSATION

·         The base salary for this position is between $60,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
