Visit sahuaritaaz.gov and tucsonaz.gov to learn more. ## What You Will Do Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors. * Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules * Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning * Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations * Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained * Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales * Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors * Perform other duties as required ## What You Bring To Freeport Minimum Qualifications * High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR * Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience * Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required * Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques * Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects * Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration * Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions * Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Preferred * None * What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $105,000 - $145,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
