Position Summary
Freeport Fire-EMS provides emergency medical services to four municipalities across Armstrong and Butler Counties. We operate four ALS ambulances and one squad unit from our primary station located in Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
We are seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our team. The Paramedic provides Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and safe medical transport for both 911 emergencies and non-emergency transports. This position plays a vital role in protecting the health and safety of our community.

Schedule:
Paramedics work a 40-hour work week, which may include 24-hour, 16-hour, and/or 8-hour shifts. Shifts are set and Overtime and special assignments are available.
Essential Responsibilities
- Respond to 911 calls and non-emergency transports
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and provide ALS/BLS care
- Safely transport patients to and from hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Operate and maintain ambulances, equipment, and medical supplies
- Complete accurate, thorough, and timely electronic patient care reports
- Participate in training, quality improvement, and agency-wide initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance & FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- Current PA Paramedic certification
- Current EMSVO certification
- Current ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS/ITLS
- Ability to obtain Medical Command through AHN–Allegheny Valley Hospital
- Strong ability to safely operate emergency vehicles and lift/move patients & equipment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making abilities
Preferred but not required:
- Fire/rescue training or experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.50 - $28.50 per hour
