Temporary Grounds Maintenance

JOB The Temporary Grounds Maintenance's primary responsibilities will revolve around mowing and trimming grass areas. Work involves operating mowing equipment and power trimmers for 8 hours a day. This is a temporary, full-time position - approximately 600 hours. Hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until after Labor Day then 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

• Mowing and trimming grass areas.
• Operates a variety of ground maintenance machines and equipment, including zero turn mowers, push mowers, power trimmers and small hand tools.
• Performs physically demanding labor in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to constantly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

• Picking up and discarding trash.
• Follows safety regulations and safety policies. Complies with work rules in the performance of duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION The rate for this position is $18.00/hour. This position will earn 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked up to a maximum of 2 weeks.
