Fast paced multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center is now accepting resumes for: PACU Registered Nurse.
The PACU RN should be familiar with providing care to patients who have just had General or Monitored Anesthesia Care. In addition to being proficient in PACU, the nurse should be familiar with all areas of the Ambulatory Surgical Center including Pre Op, Operating Room, Pain, and Endoscopy. This role will also require cross training in Pre Op where the responsibility is to ensure our patients are ready for surgery.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited nursing program
· Active Missouri RN license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
· 1 year of PACU experience; Pre Op experience a plus
· BLS, ACLS, and PALS
· EMR experience
Job Summary:
This position reports to the Director of Nursing and acts as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the health care team and supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the facility. The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing the needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
