What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Real Estate Attorney: Senior Associate or Lateral Partner position at Freeman Lovell PLLC?
Transactional Commercial Real Estate Attorney: Senior Associate or Lateral Partner
Elevate Your Legal Career with Freeman Lovell
Freeman Lovell, a forward-thinking business and real estate law firm, is growing its Real
Estate Group and seeks an accomplished Transactional Commercial Real Estate Attorney
to join at either the Senior Associate or Lateral Partner level. No existing book of business
is required to apply: Senior Associates are developed and mentored from within, while
Lateral Partners who already carry a portable book simply join at a different level.
Freeman Lovell has a unique growth program that supports attorneys in building a
practice with real operational and financial flexibility and, eventually, freedom. Our fully
remote model redefines where work happens and how legal professionals build a career.
About Freeman Lovell
Founded in 2016 by Josh Freeman and Steve Lovell, Freeman Lovell distinguishes itself
through its commitment to autonomy, flexibility, and a collaborative culture. Our practice
spans business formation, small business investment, mergers and acquisitions, tax, real
estate, employment strategy, and dispute resolution. At Freeman Lovell, you're not just
joining a law firm. You're joining a team that values innovation, results, and the freedom to
work from anywhere.
You'll have the autonomy of a solo practice with the support and bench of an established
commercial law firm behind you. We don't believe in creating artificial ceilings on the
attorneys who work with us. However, you personally define professional success, we'll
support you in turning it into a reality. At Freeman Lovell, the attorney is the main
character, not the law firm. The law firm is the supporting cast, existing only to make you
shine.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced real estate attorney with a strong commercial
transactional background, including acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing,
financing and development transactions, and 1031 exchange and tenancy-in-common
(TIC) structuring, who also brings skill in entity formation, business/tax structuring, and
commercial contracts. This attorney should be growth-minded, with the drive to build (or
continue building) a robust practice supported by a team of attorneys and legal and
administrative professionals.
Depending on experience and portable book of business, this role can be structured as a
Senior Associate (mentored within the firm in building a practice that affords operational
and financial flexibility) or a Lateral Partner (leveraging Freeman Lovell's referral network
and resources to grow an existing practice).
