We are seeking a skilled Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of aluminum components for our world-class offshore fishing catamarans. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision, quality, and exceptional workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG/GTAW welding and fabrication on aluminum parts and structures
- Operate bending, cutting, and sanding equipment, including band saws, benders, and sanders
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
- Inspect and verify welds to meet Freeman Boatworks’ quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG)
- Experience working with anodized aluminum pipe preferred
- Prior marine welding or fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with standard hand and power tools
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a non-climate-controlled environment
