Summary
We are seeking a Worship Accompanist to join our vibrant church community in the United States. The Worship Accompanist will play a vital role in supporting our worship services at Freeland United Methodist, contributing to a meaningful spiritual experience for our congregation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the worship team to select appropriate music for services.
- Provide musical accompaniment during worship services.
- Assist in organizing special musical events and church celebrations.
- Support the overall worship experience by bringing musical excellence and spiritual sensitivity.
- Maintain and organize musical equipment and resources.
- Adapt to different musical styles to enhance the worship atmosphere.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a church or worship accompanist.
- Proficiency in playing piano, keyboard or Guitar.
- Ability to read sheet music and improvise when necessary.
- Vocalists is a plus
- Flexibility to adapt to various musical styles.
- Prior experience with church music programs is preferred.
- A heart committed to serving through music and faith.
- Sunday worship services at 10:00 AM
(Rehearsal schedule flexible and discussed as needed)
- This position is open to both adults and students age 16 and older who feel called to share their musical gifts in worship.
