POSITION TITLE: Community Engagement Manager
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Engagement Manager (CEM) plays a dynamic role on the Freekind team,
serving as the primary point of contact for volunteers, faith community partners, businesses
and civic organizations. The CEM is responsible for recruiting and engaging new partners who
share a passion for the mission of Freekind, managing speaking requests and managing our
two annual signature events. This position works closely with the other program leads & the
marketing manager and oversees key volunteer roles. The CEM reports directly to the
Executive Director.
Duties
• Business Outreach: In concert with the Executive Director, strategically identify new
potential corporate partners and maintain relationships with existing business partners,
through networking events and individual meetings.
• Church Engagement: Strengthen existing church partnerships and strategically identify
new potential partners within the faith community to support the mission of Freekind.
• Volunteer Engagement: Recruit, onboard and engage volunteers to further the mission
of Freekind through ongoing support, short-term projects and events.
• Speaking/Tabling Request Management: Using our project management system,
manage requests for awareness presentations, specialized training and tabling events.
• Event Planning & Management: Serve as the lead and primary point of contact for
planning and implementing our two annual events, spring 5K and fall gala.

ability to collect, analyze, and report engagement metrics to evaluate program

• Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills with the
ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously; experience planning,
coordinating, and executing successful community outreach initiatives/events
• Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and a
willingness to work outside of "normal" hours as required.
• Technology Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Neon customer relationship
management (CRM) system, project management platform (Asana) and event
management systems (OneCause, RunSignUp)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Community
Development, Marketing, or similar (equivalent professional experience will be
considered).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder
relations, nonprofit programming, outreach, volunteer management, or a related role.
• Mission Alignment: Commitment to the mission, values, and goals of Freekind and a
passion for community impact.
• Licensure & Travel: Must possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a safe driving
record.
• Background Clearances: Successful completion of a criminal background check and a
trauma & resiliency assessment is required
Benefits: A fixed monthly mileage stipend to support weekly community engagement; health
insurance covered at 50% and vision & dental covered at 100% (employee only), generous paid
holidays and paid leave, paid professional development.
Salary Range: $44,000-$50,000
