This part-time position is ideal for a candidate looking to grow their portfolio, is experienced with short and long-form video editing, and comfortable posting across all social media platforms, i.e. Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. We are looking for someone based on Long Island/NYC to assist us with this next chapter at Freehand Social. What You’ll Do:
Title: Part-Time Video Editing Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Availability to join 2 to 5 team meetings per week during normal working hours
- Availability to film client content in the tristate area once or twice a month (interviews, trends, promotional content)
- At-home filming for client content (product videography)
- Internal BTS (behind the scenes) content for Freehand Social
- Edit short & long-form video projects (client sizzle reels, ads, etc.)
- Cut and format videos for multiple platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Collaborate with the creative team to execute on video briefs and bring ideas to life
- Maintain organized video libraries and deliver polished, on-brand edits
- Edit on DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated experience producing video content for social media (especially TikTok and Instagram Reels). A video portfolio is required to apply
- A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling through video
- Strong understanding of platform-specific requirements and how to leverage social media trends
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
