Injection Molding Operator – Metal Injection Molding (MIM)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Injection Molding Operator to join our growing Metal Injection Molding (MIM) manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating and tending injection molding machines, performing quality inspections, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring efficient production while meeting quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic, eager to learn new skills, and committed to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
· Unload finished molded parts from injection molding machines.
· Load and replenish molding machines with raw material as needed.
· Perform routine quality inspections using visual inspection methods and basic measuring equipment.
· Accurately complete production documentation and enter production and quality data into computer systems.
· Monitor machine operation and report equipment issues or quality concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
· Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S and housekeeping standards.
· Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
· Work efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
· Assist with machine changeovers, setup support, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience is preferred but not required.
· Metal Injection Molding, plastic injection molding, or CNC manufacturing experience is a plus.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Reliable attendance and punctuality.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
