Summary: Accountable for managing the order and sales intake of channel partners (OEM, Integrator, MROs, Dealers, Airlines, Representatives and End Users) of Flight Data Systems and FreeFlight Systems products and service offerings.  He/she must have the ability to meet or exceed revenue goals and commitments through working knowledge of solution-selling strategies, tactics and business value selling while inspiring confidence in establishing new customer relationships and ultimately the ability to close. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ability to meet or exceed revenue goals and commitments through working knowledge of solution-selling strategies and tactics and business value selling. 
  • Responsible for establishing & obtaining new business for the sale of products and services within designated sales area. 
  • Responsible for developing new business through various channels such as dealers, integrators, OEMs and agents within region of responsibility while following the defined company policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to understand products/services thoroughly, understand, develop, and deliver value propositions and presentations of products/services, proposal development and quote generation 
  • Ability to negotiate pricing and terms with the help of executive management to close sales 
  • Utilize CRM daily to enter customers, contacts, opportunities (pipeline) and provide weekly sales reports, metrics including, but not limited to, customer feedback, competitor intelligence and sales results 
  • Will be periodically required to perform other duties as directed and assigned 
  • Expected to meet with current and potential customers, requiring travel (30-50%) both domestic and international 

 

EDUCATIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS: 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or 5 years related work experience in sales or business development within the aerospace/avionics industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pilots license preferred but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Qualified candidates should be able to speak effectively to the various influencer’s across the multiple channels of OEMs, Integrators, Airlines, MROs and End Users in order to educate and get buy in to company products and services to ultimately close the deal.  

 

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES   

Candidates must have a strong command of computer desktop tools such as CRM, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to assist in completing essential duties. Effectively demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have a willingness to constantly be learning. .

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the person is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office.  The noise level is occasionally high.
