Fiber Optic Installation Technician — 1099 Contractor

FreedomNet LLC is hiring experienced Fiber Optic Installation Technicians in Tallahassee, Florida.

We are looking for motivated, dependable technicians to install fiber internet service in residential homes, with plenty of MDU opportunities available.

What You’ll Do

● Run fiber optic cable from the network to the customer’s home

● Install and route fiber line neatly and safely

● Mount and install the ONT

● Install and configure eero Wi-Fi equipment and related devices

● Test fiber internet service and verify connectivity

● Explain basic equipment operation to customers

● Complete quality residential and MDU installations

● Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

● Fiber optic installation experience preferred

● Experience installing residential internet equipment, including ONTs and Wi-Fi systems, is a plus

● Must have a BLACK or WHITE work vehicle

● Pickup truck, utility van, or work truck ONLY

● Vehicle must be professional and suitable for fiber installation work

● Proper fiber installation tools and equipment

● Valid driver’s license

● Smartphone

● Professional appearance and customer service

● Ability to work independently

● Dependable and committed to quality fiber installations
