Steel Detailer

Freedom Welding and Fabrication is a miscellaneous metals and structural steel fabricator. We are seeking to fill the role of Detailer / Drafter. To fill this role, we are looking for a motivated individual who is mechanically minded and wanting to grow with our company. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to create complete drawing sets for submittal, shop, and field use. This role will entail other responsibilities overlapping with project management and estimating partially due to our size, but also because we prefer all our employees to be well rounded in our procedures. To complement our current team, we are looking for someone with a structural detailing / project management background.

Requirements:

· 3 years of experience with SolidWorks. Other similar CAD experience is a plus. (Candidate MUST have experience using the software above or similar software)

· We are seeking an individual with strong math skills, an excellent communicator, organized and possessing problem solving abilities.

· Ability to multitask, managing multiple tasks on various projects at the same time.

· Provide complete, accurate, and detailed instructions to the shop.

· Capable of interpreting various styles of drawings and understanding basic fabrication terminology.

· Ability to work one on one with clients to capture design and engineering requirements including but not limited to dimension, kinds of materials, and other items needed to complete your design and estimate

· Experience with sales, estimating and some field experience would be beneficial, as well as experience using online plan rooms.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Teams, Word, and Outlook

• · Associate degree in drafting, engineering technologies, or related field. Will consider non-degreed candidates with experience in a similar role.
