Starting pay rate is $15/hr.

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality focused Cashier/ Cafe Attendant to join our team!
Starting pay rate is $15/hr.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Cashier/ Cafe Attendant:
- Greet and interact with residents and visitors in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Handle resident and visitor requests, concerns, and complaints with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ensure all customers feel welcomed and valued, creating a pleasant dining experience.
- Operate the POS system to accurately process customer orders.
- Ensure all transactions are completed correctly, including sales, refunds, and voids.
- Be familiar with processing credit cards as a form of payment, ensure payments are correctly processed.
- Issue receipts and provide any necessary documentation for transactions.
- Assist with food prep as needed (cutting fruit, packaging fruit, etc).
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure all food items are prepared and stored correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness in the prep area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or assist other team members as needed.
- Exceptional customer service skills required – we’re looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, and enjoys engaging with people. A positive attitude and the ability to build rapport with residents and guests is essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Must be able to operate POS systems.
- Must be able to reconcile credit cards.
- Must be available to work full-time. The schedule is Monday-Friday and every other Saturday, 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM.
