What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Associate position at Freedom Village at Brandywine?
We are currently hiring a part-time laundry associate with the schedule being every weekend from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Laundry Associate is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens.

YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…
- Collects, cleans, and redistributes the Community laundry.
- Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed, and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
- Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
- Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

- Possess the ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.
- Ability to process 50-100 pounds of laundry at a time
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
