Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26ft box truck to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients during deliveries and pickups
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption while maintaining punctuality
- Load and unload items with heavy lifting skills, ensuring the safety of yourself and others during all handling procedures
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with familiarity operating a box truck or similar vehicle
- Prior experience in warehouse environments involving moving inventory or using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations, route planning, and safety protocols for heavy vehicles with manual transmission
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Familiarity with load securing techniques and vehicle maintenance routines is preferred
