Position Summary
Freedom Tech is seeking a Senior Technician to join our advanced support team. This is a high-impact, versatile role designed for a technical expert who thrives on solving complex challenges and maintaining the health of diverse IT environments.
Sitting at the intersection of high-level troubleshooting and systems stability, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' technical infrastructure is performing at peak efficiency. You will provide the "Level 3" expertise required to bridge the gap between daily support operations and long-term infrastructure health.
Core Responsibilities Advanced Technical Resolution & Support
- Strategic Escalation: Act as the primary technical authority for high-complexity issues that require deep-dive diagnostics across workstations, servers, and network stacks.
- Incident Management: Lead the resolution of critical "system-down" events with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance and situational training to the broader technical team to elevate overall service quality.
Systems Continuity & Integrity
- Infrastructure Oversight: Monitor and maintain the stability of Windows-based server environments and virtualized infrastructure.
- Data Integrity & Recovery: Oversee the health and verification of client backup systems. Perform regular integrity checks and test restores to guarantee disaster recovery readiness.
- Proactive Maintenance: Utilize Kaseya VSA 10 and AutoTask to monitor system performance, automate routine maintenance, and identify potential hardware or software failures before they impact the business.
Connectivity & Security Management
- Network Administration: Configure and troubleshoot WatchGuard Firewalls, managed switches, and secure remote access protocols.
- Access Management: Administer Microsoft 365 tenants, Active Directory environments, and secure VPN connections via VSAx or SplashTop
Professional Requirements
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a multi-client or MSP environment.
- Problem Solving: A proven track record of resolving complex "Level 3" tickets independently.
- Technical Breadth: Proficiency in the Kaseya IT Complete stack (preferred), server virtualization, and advanced networking. Datto backups and recovery.
- Communication: The ability to provide high-touch service while managing sophisticated technical tasks.
- Reliability: Ability to participate in an after-hours rotation for critical system alerts as required.
