The Assisted Living Community Life Services department is looking for an Activities Manager! As the Manager of the Activities team, you will lead a department of two employees. You will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and managing of a wide and varied scope of activities and programming which meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, an environmental needs of the residents. You will also help to ensure the activity programs are appropriately presented by staff.

This position is an hourly position, 40 hours per week and primarily Monday through Friday but there is some flexibility (may include some weekends).

Responsibilities

• Creating calendars of events for residents
• Conducting and leading programs
• Creating programs for the residents which are meaningful and appropriate to the needs of residents and conducive to their physical mental and social wellbeing
• Meeting the needs of multiple residents withing Assisted Living
• Supervise the Life Enrichment Department (two Employees) to include training
• Assist in the planning and coordination of a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental activities with the intent of including all residents in some area of lifestyle activity
• Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees. This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational. Ensure and exceed residents wellness needs relating to mind, body and soul, which also may have a positive affect on employees as well
• Lead daily resident activities
• Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to community standard
  
  

Skills

• Experience working with seniors in recreation, music, fitness and/or social administration, preferred
• Great communication and people skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication is a must
• Flexible scheduling, will involve some evenings and/or weekends
