Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role requires an individual with strong customer service skills, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate must be comfortable operating a variety of equipment, including flatbed trailers, commercial-sized pressure cleaners, various lifts, and a propane-powered street sweeper. The candidate should be able to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve technical problems without supervision, ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment.
- Operate and maintain flatbed trailers, commercial-sized pressure cleaners, various style lifts, and propane-powered street sweepers safely and efficiently.
- Write up detailed reports summarizing daily activities, tasks completed, issues encountered, and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while being a cooperative team player when needed.
- Available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, adapting to a flexible schedule.
- Assist in routine maintenance and inspections of all assigned equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members and management to improve processes and procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven customer service experience with excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with minimal to no assistance.
- Experience operating flatbed trailers, commercial-sized pressure cleaners, various lifts, and propane-powered street sweepers preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high degree of self-reliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required by company policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and operating equipment.
