The Solar Operations Coordinator will collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate solar installation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Interpret and analyze schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
- Oversee the installation of solar fixtures and components, ensuring proper electrical connections and functionality.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate conditions for solar panel installations, including roofing considerations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations throughout all phases of the project.
- Collaborate with commercial electricians and construction teams to facilitate seamless operations on-site.
- Provide training and support to team members regarding safety protocols and best practices in solar installations.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any issues encountered during installations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical work with a focus on high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and compliance standards related to solar installations.
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
