Job Overview
We are actively hiring a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level CDL Truck Driver in Training, on track to become a Licensed Health Department Pump Truck Operator.This position is ideal for someone who wants a long-term career in underground plumbing, septic operations, and pump truck services. You will receive hands-on training in septic system maintenance, underground plumbing tasks, heavy equipment operation, and jobsite protocols.Applicants must be 21 years old, have a clean driving record, willing to test for the CDL Permit and work towards a full license, and be able to perform physical labor including digging, using tools and equipment, moving hoses, and lifting 50–80 lbs daily. This is an outdoor, hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, learning new skills, and improving themselves every day.
Duties
- Have reliable transportation to our Company Yard daily.
- Assist licensed specialists with septic pumping, system maintenance, and pump truck operations.
- Participate in CDL training and ride-along instruction to prepare for pump truck operation.
- Assist with installation and repair of underground plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Help inspectors with underground system evaluations.
- Assist the fleet manager with vehicle and equipment management.
- Learn safe and proper operation of heavy equipment.
- Keep work areas, job sites, and tools organized and clean.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and jobsite protocols.
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
Skills
- Must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Be able and willing to apply for a valid CDL Permit. In-training candidates will receive support for licensing requirements
- Reliable transportation to our Marshall, VA yard.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor (lifting, digging, moving hoses, etc.).
- Prior delivery driver experience or route driving skills are advantageous
- Basic mechanical understanding or familiarity with hand/power tools is helpful but not required — we will train you.
- Previous construction or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
- Underground trades or plumbing experience is a bonus.
- Strong attention to safety standards and traffic regulations
