POSITION SUMMARY:
The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in support of Freedom Motors USA’s wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions. This position will weld, fabricate, modify, and assemble metal components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and production requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing safe, durable, and quality workmanship.
The Welder will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure components are properly fabricated and installed while maintaining Freedom Motors USA’s standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and seeing their work become part of a finished product that directly improves mobility and independence for customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and maintain various welding equipment to perform MIG and TIG welding tasks.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
  • Ensure that all welding assignments are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Conduct quality checks on welded parts to ensure that they meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
  • Assemble transfer seats
  • Inventory

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, overhead, butt joint, circle, and other welding, with various gages.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a Mig and Tig Welder.
  • Good knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
