Job description:
At Freedom Metal Finishing, we are seeking a dedicated Masker to join our team. As a Masker in our factory, you will be essential in preparing surfaces for painting by applying masking materials with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully mask and tape off specific areas of metal parts according to work orders and specifications.
- Inspects parts for cleanliness and proper surface preparation prior to masking
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and issues.
- Will assist in other duties like packaging and other basics services as needed.
Requirements & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hours are 6:30 am to 3:30 pm from Monday - Friday. Overtime and weekend work are expected and required.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be an effective communicator who can work well with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Familiarity with masking materials and techniques is preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Strong work ethics and commitment to quality.
