What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Helper position at Freedom Graphics?
Freedom, a national Direct Mail Company based in Milton, WI, is one of the largest, independently owned, privately held, direct mail marketing providers in the United States. Why Freedom? Because we are a leader in the direct mail space, investing in technology and resources and we’re looking to add Press Helpers to our team.
The Press Helper is an entry level position, responsible for assisting the Press Operator in running a printing press. Prior experience is helpful, but not necessary. We also offer a Press Operator Training Program for Press Helpers interested in taking their career to the next level!
In this position you will:
- Assist the Press Operator in setting up the press to run individual jobs
- Hang rolls of paper, fill ink fountains and keep the area around the press clean
- Make sure all material is stocked and ready for the Press Operator
- Keep all tools organized and put away when not in use
- Complete daily production logs
- Communicate the status of jobs at shift change
- Promote a safe, positive, team atmosphere
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
- Must be mechanically inclined
- All candidates must be detail orientated and committed to quality
- Able to multi-task within a manufacturing environment
