The Digital Video Producer coordinates and produces creative video content and audio-visual work across digital and social media platforms to support Freedom Forum’s goals and mission. The Digital Video Producer will help grow and diversify Freedom Forum’s audience through short-form, social media optimized video content that amplifies and extends Freedom Forum’s library of content about the First Amendment.
The Digital Video Producer will have proven experience in developing videos for digital and social media platforms. The produced videos will live on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and other digital platforms. This individual’s skillset should include concepting, scripting, content sourcing, editing, graphics and finishing. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of and passion for the First Amendment and will be able to translate Freedom Forum materials into videos for a digital audience.
- Researches, develops, and produces videos and other visual stories supporting Freedom Forum’s digital content strategy
- Works with the Content Managing Editor and the Director, Digital to identify videos to be produced from other Freedom Forum content
- Determines which social media platforms video content will be produced for
- Develops and writes scripts
- Sources images, film and animations to be used in the videos being produced
- Edits and manages editors for production of videos
- Identifies graphics and additional enhancements to be output with the videos
- Outputs specific versions of each video by social media platform
- Ensures brand consistency and quality
- Produces videos to maximize engagement for digital audiences
- Produces multiple videos/week
- Three or more years in digital video (and specifically social media) production
- Proven track record creating videos that drive engagement and promote a cause or brand
- Proven results in video and digital content production including pre-production, shooting, editing, audio, and graphics/titling
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and take direction from multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail
- Capacity to problem-solve under deadline pressure and adapt to rapidly changing production and editorial content environments
- Understanding of the digital and social media landscape and how to use visual storytelling to connect to different audiences
- Must have an adherence to accepted standards of accuracy, fairness, nonpartisanship and attention to detail in producing content
Salary: The salary range for this position is $92,000 to $96,000 plus benefits.
Location:
If DC-based, up to 10% onsite.
Requires up to 10% overnight travel.
