What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Group Assistant position at Freedom First Psychological Services, PLLC?
We are seeking a Group Assistant to provide support to our Therapy Group Leaders (licensed therapists) for a variety of therapeutic groups for ages 4 - 12. Our Therapy Groups provide therapeutic services for children and typically focus on social skills, emotional regulation, and coping strategies related to a variety of mental health concerns.
Primary responsibilities of the Group Assistant position will include:
- Assisting the Group Lead with group activities
- Preparing group materials
- Monitoring for safety
- Escorting children to and from the group space
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe space
Required hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:45 - 6:45pm. Candidates must be available consistently week to week for these hours in full.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience working with children between the ages of 4 and 12
- Specific experience with children with ADHD and Autism is preferred but not required
- Must have consistent transportation to the office
Job Type: Part-time
