Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of deck and structure designs
- Frame and install decking/railing projects
- Dig & install concrete footers for foundational support, ensuring proper alignment and reinforcement for durability
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate loading, framing, decking, railing and other construction activities
- Utilize hand tools effectively for framing, trim carpentry, woodworking, and general carpentry tasks on-site
- Read detailed schematics and blueprints to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install components in accordance with project specifications
- Conduct heavy lifting safely during material handling and installation processes to maintain efficiency without compromising safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of remodeling, siding, roofing, or restoration projects
Skills
- Extensive experience in framing carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of decking, trim carpentry, woodwork, and remodeling processes
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols on construction sites
- Experience with construction management principles to coordinate tasks efficiently on-site
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required in deck construction projects
- Understanding of restoration techniques to preserve or upgrade existing structures effectively
