TDS Logistics is expanding! We are seeking dependable, hardworking Independent Delivery Contractors (1099) for a parcel delivery in Austin, TX .
PLEASE NOTE: CARGO VANS
If you own or operate a Cargo Van and are looking for steady, high-density local delivery routes with weekly payouts, this is the opportunity for you.
Position Overview
- Route Structure: Steady local routes with dense package clusters across Austin and surrounding zip codes.
- Daily Volume: Average 50–120 stops per day
- Package Profile: Mostly soft parcels and small-to-medium boxes (typically under 35 lbs; maximum 50 lbs).
- Efficiency: Complete your route at your own pace. Average workdays run 6–8 hours depending on your speed and route size.
- Onboarding: Fast, fully digital onboarding through Openforce—get approved in 24 to 48 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up assigned parcels daily from the local hub facility and load your vehicle safely.
- Follow GPS-routed delivery sequences using your mobile scanning device.
- Complete 100% of assigned route deliveries accurately prior to the daily cutoff time.
- Safely navigate residential and commercial routes in all weather conditions.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch.
Driver Requirements
- Vehicle Requirement: Must own/lease a reliable Cargo Van in good operational condition (no passenger cars, SUVs, or pickup trucks allowed).
- Device: Must have an iOS or Android smartphone with active data service for delivery scanning.
- Age & License: Must be 21 years old with a valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Insurance: Active Commercial auto insurance ($1,000,000 CSL) ,AND Motor Truck Cargo Insurance
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check and drug screen via Openforce onboarding.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift, push, and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
- Expenses: As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for providing your own cargo van, fuel, and upkeep.
