Job Summary
Freedom Event Center is seeking energetic, adaptable, and charismatic individuals to join our team as Bartender/Barbacks. This role is essential to delivering a high-quality bar experience while adjusting service style to match the atmosphere of each event.
Our venue hosts a wide range of experiences—from elegant quinceañeras and private celebrations to high-energy nightlife and live music events. Team members must be able to match the tone of each event, maintaining a polished and professional presence in formal settings while bringing energy and personality to nightlife environments.
This is a guest-facing role where engagement, presence, and the ability to connect with guests directly impact bar sales and overall experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, accurately, and with attention to presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar environment at all times
- Adapt service style, communication, and energy level based on the type of event
- Engage guests with confidence and charisma to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales
- Assist with bar setup and breakdown for private events and nightlife operations
- Operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
- Support team members to ensure smooth service during high-volume events
- Uphold safety, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service standards
What We’re Looking For

- Willingness to learn — no experience required, but must be open to learning different liquors, flavor profiles, and guest preferences

- Ability to work nights, weekends, and peak event hours
Experience
- No prior bartending experience required
- Hospitality, bar, or customer service experience preferred but not required
Compensation
- Base Pay: $4.00 – $5.00 per hour
- Tips: Typically $4 – $10 per hour additional, depending on guest volume and tipping
- High-Volume Events: Increased earning potential during large events and peak nights
Additional Requirements
- TABC Seller-Server Certification is required before the first shift (no exceptions)
- Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Texas
- Commitment to responsible alcohol service and compliance with all regulations
