This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
Freedom is seeking a night sweeper who can help to maintain our school building. This person is responsible for performing routine custodial activities to make Freedom a safe, clean learning environment.
This position is for 7.75 hours per day and 182 days per year.
170 student instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 1 extended day
Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)
Salary based on Board approved salary for the 2025-2026 school year.
24-25 pay scale
Step 0: $14.05 per hour
Step 10: $16.00 per hour
Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.

salary / # of pays left = gross biweekly pay
