Primary Summary:
Performs complex mortgage loan servicing function. Assist in the loan process by verifying all information in all loan files, ordering documents needed to complete the files. Updating the information on the computer system and paying property taxes on escrows in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures and compliance with pertinent regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for mortgage loan servicing.
- Responsible for FHLB Sold Loans, flood insurance monitoring, property/collateral insurance monitory and escrow delinquency monitoring.
- Monitor daily loan reports and monthly summary reports and process collateral releases for paid off loans.
- Monitor PMI claims, reports and request for removals.
- Assist in the implementation of loan document imaging.
- Pays property taxes on all escrow accounts.
- Reviews incoming documents to assure complete, accurate information and update information on computer system. Request and verifies accuracy f incoming data and coordinates any problems, discrepancies with borrowers and loan originators.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Requirements
Experience
Five years financial operations and mortgage loan servicing or similar.
Computer experience necessary with knowledge of credit union systems.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A high school degree or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with members, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
