The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Air Compressor Field Technician to join

our team in the Houston area. In this role, you will perform hands-on maintenance,

troubleshooting, and repairs on compressed air systems directly at customer’s facilities.

This position requires local travel to and from customer sites in an assigned company

vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

 Troubleshooting & Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and

electrical issues on air compressors and related equipment.

 Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure

peak system performance and minimize customer downtime.

 Equipment Installation: Install new air compressor systems and rental

equipment at customer facilities.

 Digital Documentation: Log all service activities, maintenance records, parts

research, and timekeeping data accurately using an assigned tablet.

 Customer Communication: Explain technical findings and equipment

recommendations clearly to both supervisors and customers.

 Vehicle & Fleet Safety: Drive an assigned service vehicle safely to and from

customer locations and ensure the vehicle is properly maintained.

 Workplace Organization: Keep tools, work areas, and service vehicles

organized, clean, and safe.

 Team Collaboration: Work closely with dispatchers and fellow technicians to

ensure projects are completed safely and on time.

Qualifications & Skills

 Experience: 3 years of experience as a compressor technician, industrial

maintenance technician, or a closely related industrial role is highly preferred.

 Technical Skillset: Strong proficiency in mechanical and electrical

troubleshooting of air compressors, motors, controls, sensors, and valves.

 Driving Requirement: Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a

clean driving record to safely operate the company service vehicle.

 Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, stand, and perform demanding hands-on

work in outdoor industrial environments under the Houston climate for 8 hours a

day.

 Manual Dexterity: Proven ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, test

instruments, and advanced diagnostic equipment.

 Diagram Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals,

schematics, mechanical and wiring diagrams.

 Tech Savvy: Comfortable using modern mobile technology (tablets) for digital

work orders and timesheets.

 Professional Traits: Detail-oriented, self-motivated to work independently in the

field, and capable of collaborating well within a team.

 Safety Focus: Deep commitment to following company procedures and rigid

safety standards at all times.

 Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational, trade, or

technical school training in mechanical/industrial maintenance is a major plus.
