We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, mental status, and overall well-being, and report changes promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and proper infection control procedures
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental health and well-being
Requirements
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certifications required for some roles (this training will be provided)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Demonstrated ability to follow care plans meticulously and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through direct support and caregiving expertise
