Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This vital role involves delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for residents or clients with diverse needs. Duties

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, mental status, and overall well-being, and report changes promptly
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and proper infection control procedures
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental health and well-being

Requirements

• Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
• Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certifications required for some roles (this training will be provided)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
• Demonstrated ability to follow care plans meticulously and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through direct support and caregiving expertise

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
