Dock Staff for Murrells Inlet
Job description
The Dock Staff is the main point of contact for Members at the dock. They are friendly and upbeat individuals who greet our Club Members and ensure that the vessels are clean. Our Dock Staff communicates with members while on the docks and boats, assisting members with the boats' departure and return. This position(s) are available part-time, full-time, and require availability on weekdays, weekends, and summer holidays. The postion is seasonal (March - October) but could turn in to year-round work if you are a hard worker. We love staff who are outgoing, smile, and want to have responsibilities around 18-27ft boats. (Must be at least 21 to drive our boats)
Responsibilities & Skills
- Experience in or around boats and docks is preferred but not necessary.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving and be over the age of 18
- Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including weather, standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, balancing, and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds
- Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
- Clean and maintain vessels and the Club Location according to company standards
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
- Adhere to all safety policies
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: The job pays $10 an hour to start with a raise after you've been with us 30 days. You can earn an extra $5-10 per hour with tips. This job requires you to work outside.
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week - must be willing to work summer holidays and weekends.
