As the Club Manager for Freedom Boat Club North Texas, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations and ensuring the club runs smoothly at our Lake Lewisville and Lake Texoma locations. You'll manage the dock staff, maintain the fleet, and provide exceptional customer service to members. This is a full-time position where you'll be the primary contact for member inquiries and concerns. Flexibility is essential. During the busy season, you will be required to work weekdays, weekends and summer holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day).
Key Responsibilities

- Annual Salary: $55,000 - $60,000, depending on experience
- Bonus: Up to $1,000 per quarter based on customer survey targets & results

Key Responsibilities
- Personnel Management - Hiring, Training, and Supervision: Recruit, hire, and train all dock staff to ensure they provide a high level of service. Supervise their daily performance, delegate tasks, and hold them accountable for their duties. Scheduling and Payroll: Create the weekly dock staff schedule, ensuring there's adequate coverage, and review/approve dock staff hours for payroll. Performance Monitoring: Oversee the performance of all dock staff, and, when necessary, be responsible for firing employees who do not meet standards.
- Operations & Maintenance - Daily Operations: Manage all aspects of daily operations, including boarding members & belongings safely and efficiently, conducting comprehensive pre-departure checks, closing out reservations each day and handling day-of-reservation member communication. Follow boat cleaning schedules. Train dock team on cleaning and reporting any issues with boats. Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate and regular stock of essential supplies, including cleaning equipment (rags, water), safety gear, and other operational necessities. Asset Care: Ensure the fleet of boats is always immaculately clean and ready for members. . Ensure the quality and maintenance of all club assets, such as ropes, life jackets, and other water toys. Maintain a clean office space. Reconcile fuel charges: Oversee and track fuel usage logs, boat fueling and fuel payment processing.Conduct regular reservation audits to ensure all boats are checked in and fuel usage and service is paid. Damage Reporting: Report and reconcile damages with both the boat manager and the member, ensuring all costs are settled. Ensure all incidents are reported in the reservation system and the fleet management system. Boats : Coordinate with the boat manager to ensure delivery of new boats and break in schedule. Trailer boats as needed for maintenance using the company truck.
- Administration & Interdepartmental Relations - Member Relations: Regularly review, respond to and analyze member surveys to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate action to enhance member satisfaction. Serve as ambassador of the club and conduct tours of the club. External Relations: Maintain a positive and working relationship with the marina and other external partners to ensure smooth operations and service delivery. Compliance: Ensure all operational best practices and procedures, as outlined in the dock staff manual, are followed consistently.
- 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience required
- Hospitality management experience a plus
- High School diploma (or equivalent) required
- Valid Texas Drivers License required
- Texas Boater Safety Certificate (required completion before or within 1st week of employment)
- Ability to trailer (and remove) a boat and drive it between locations is required
- Boating experience preferred
- Ability to perform minor boat maintenance (engine oil, drive oil, filters, bilge pump, etc.) preferred
- Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude in a fast paced environment
- Highly effective communications skills and friendly customer service
- Must be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervised
- High attention to detail and able to multi-task
- Ability to read/manipulate handheld tablets
- Approximate working hours: 40-50 hours/week in-season; 30-40 hours/week off-season
- Ability to drive between the two locations as needed
- Must be available for weekdays, weekends, holidays and peak boating seasons
- Capacity to work outdoors under a covered dock during summer and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to board and disembark boats frequently
- Occasional kneeling/stooping for interior boat cleaning
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
