Freedom Boat Club of Tennessee is seeking hard-working and reliable Dockhands to join our team. We currently have open positions at our Center Hill and Hidden Harbor Marina locations.
While recognizing and upholding Freedom Boat Club of Tennessee Core Values of Safety, Member First, People, Respect, High Quality, Passion and Innovation, the Dockhand will be responsible for ensuring that all boats are properly secured, maintained, and cleaned for our members to use.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members with their boats as they arrive and depart the marina
- Safely dock and undock boats, ensuring all lines are secure and boats are properly tied down
- Perform inspections and routine maintenance on boats such as filling gas tanks, checking oil, and cleaning boats
- Keep the marina clean and tidy, including removing trash and debris from the dock area
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Dock Manager or General Manager
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with boats and handling lines is preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and cold
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexible schedule throughout the boating season, March - November
