Chain Sales & Merchandising Representative – North Idaho

Freedom Beverage Distributing is a growing independent beer and wine distributor looking for a motivated Chain Sales & Merchandising Representative to help us grow our business throughout North Idaho.
This is a unique full-service route position combining sales, merchandising, account service, and delivery. You'll be responsible for a group of chain retail accounts in the Coeur d'Alene, Moscow, and surrounding North Idaho markets.
You'll essentially own your route—working directly with stores, taking orders, keeping products stocked and merchandised, building displays, and delivering product when needed.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, outgoing, and interested in building a career in the beer and wine industry.

What You'll Do
- Manage and service assigned chain retail accounts throughout North Idaho
- Visit stores on a regular route schedule
- Take inventory and write product orders
- Work directly with store personnel and department managers
- Deliver beer, wine, and beverage products to assigned accounts
- Stock shelves and cold boxes
- Rotate product and maintain proper inventory
- Build and maintain displays
- Install and maintain point-of-sale materials
- Identify out-of-stocks and additional sales opportunities
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional product presentations
- Communicate store needs and opportunities back to Freedom Beverage management
- Develop strong relationships with store teams
- Help execute new product launches, promotions, and chain programs
- Maintain an organized delivery vehicle and accurate route documentation
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable talking with store managers and asking for orders
- Ability to safely lift and move cases throughout the workday
- Organized and capable of managing multiple accounts and priorities
- Self-motivated and able to manage a route without constant supervision
- Basic smartphone, email, and technology skills
- Previous retail, grocery, merchandising, beverage, delivery, or sales experience is helpful but not required
We are willing to train the right person.
Territory
This position will primarily service chain retail accounts throughout:
Coeur d'Alene Post Falls Hayden Moscow and surrounding North Idaho markets
Some travel within the territory will be required.
