We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our clinical team, working a 2/3 block schedule and 12-hour shifts.
Position Summary
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays an important role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients with mental and behavioral health needs while helping maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN supports both medical and behavioral healthcare services that promote patient comfort, stability, and recovery.
In this role, LPNs administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, obtain vital signs, document care, and assist with daily patient care activities. They closely observe patient behaviors and communicate any changes or concerns to the nursing and clinical team to support effective treatment planning and continuity of care.
LPNs also provide emotional support, encouragement, and therapeutic interaction to patients throughout their treatment journey while helping build trust and positive patient relationships. This position is ideal for a dependable, compassionate professional with strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for behavioral healthcare.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And/Or Experience Required
- Education: Certification from approved Practical Nursing Program
- License: Licensed as an LPN to practice in the State of Louisiana.
- Experience: One-year LPN experience is preferred. Previous experience with behavioral health and geriatrics is strongly preferred.
