Position Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day care of patients, adhering to professional nursing standards while ensuring compliance with TJC, CMS, and state regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering direct patient care within the scope of your LPN license
- Assisting with patient assessments and documenting findings accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitoring patient condition and promptly reporting any changes to the RN or medical staff
- Assisting with the completion of admission paperwork and ensuring documentation meets facility standards
- Adhering to infection control policies and procedures
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives and chart reviews
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans and interventions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program - License:
LPN License through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing - Experience:
At least one year of experience in mental health or psychiatric care preferred
